A word about my addiction

I thought everyone knew I had a problem, I know that this may come as a surprise to some... But, I love stitching... I have been doing it for years, a girl in hair school introduced me to it and I have loved it ever since... So if you have never tried, you will love it. It is really fulfilling because you can finish a whole pattern in one to two days ( instant gratification).. Plus, I like to spend all my extra cash on crafty stuff... There.... it's out in the open... I have a ton of cute patterns, but most of them can be purchased from craft stores... I like itchy fingers as one of my fave pattern lines... So the little "boots" was a stitchery first then I turned it into a pillow, I would like to do one for each month this year. We will see how that goes.... Just because I love it doesn't always mean I have time for it. DANG IT!!!

9-28-08

We REALLY needed to get out of the house for a minute!!! It is always so hard when we all haven't been feeling well... So we took a little trip to the park. Both the kids like to swing. Check out Gator's ouchie... Poor baby!

So I have changed bedding five times, due to vomick and poops. I have changed more poop-tastrophies and blow-outs than I can count... I caught "ick" in my hands on Saturday night and did the heaves, thank goodness I am not preggers or it would have added to the stress...And the smell.... My poor hubs felt so icky he had no strength to do anything yesterday.(it is not like the machine to have a glitch) But I think we are getting past it all.,.... and I am ever so thankful that we are not at the hospital...Here is the Gator waiting in the ER... He keeps looking at me like, just take me home... I wanted to make a special shout out to Missy the wonderful, who happily watched Ry while Gator and I waited in the ER... What life saver.

Whats that you say?

With Ry having a little bug and then Gator having similar symptoms I wasn't too frantic this time... I actually waited three days before making the phone call to his ped and then the trek up to PCMC for a five hour stay in the ER... The smell, the consistency and the volume should have been indicators but I tried to brush it off... So today we waited and what did they say!!!! C-DIFF AGAIN..... He is super prone to that darn stuff... so with Flagil as our buddy and Jolly's RX not too far. (they compound) I am happy to report we are on the mend... We caught it very early so he won't need to be hospitalized and he keeps eating/drinking so we don't need IV's WoooHOOO!!!!! Gator also saw Julie (PT) today.. She keeps cheering him on saying he is a walker he just doesn't have the endurance... Plus I am sure being sick doesn't help... So he should be walking very soon.... and last... Ry and I sewed the pillow today so we should be able to post our stitchery tomorrow...It is so dang cute!

goes with the last post

This was WAAAYYYYY easier... It took about five minutes too!!! Man that heat bond really threw me off last time... YaY for hearts....

I know Ry already has curly hair, but we thought it would be fun to get some foam rollars and give'em a try... She looked so cute... and it is a different curl pattern...
Then, Because I am trying this- reuse, recycle, repurpose thing we decided to make a purse out of the drink pouches... This is super easy and I got the directions right off the internet (thanks google) We still have three more colors to try... This one is Ry's. call me if you want the directions. It really took about fifteen minutes to sew... I am working on a new stichery, The stitchery is done I just need to turn it into a pillow.... Thanks for the pattern Terry. And I am happy to have interfacing to make my calender cover so I will post a picture when I get it done...

The credit goes to.....

The instructions for this darling check book cover is on http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com My cousin Andrea won one... Check out her blog to the right...

A bunch of randomness!!

Last night Ry wasn't feeling all that well.. She slept in until noon today. But she was feeling much better this afternoon.. She was back laughing while we made mush-mush faces on the glass before I cleaned it...
This is the heart check book cover I made the polk-a-dot is on the inside..
I loved making it.. But it was harder than I thought because my machine didn't like that I used heat bond in the center of the fabrics instead of interfacing. It kept getting stuck and making the thread go wacky... I am going to go by some facing for the other little calender one I am making...
This is a picture of our first attempt to copy a hair style from http://piggiesnponies.blogspot.com/ It is pretty nice just going to a sight and asking Ry what she wants in her hair instead of trying to guess all the time....

Back to dancing

Ry began dance again today. She is so excited to be dancing with so many friends...
They have a complete BLAST!!!

Gator wanted in on the action... He just might be a dancer... Also did you see his mustache... that is what happens when you loose your balance twice in twenty four hours and do face plants into the ground... Bloodied his lip both times... OUCH!!!

Its about LOVE!

I wanted to spread the word for our friends... They are adding to their family by adoption. These two have so much love to offer a baby that they can hardly contain it.. They have two other children, Angel Ryker had HLHS (same as Gator) And Angel Lily was born with very little brain. Both passed at less than ten weeks. If I can spread the word a little maybe they can have a baby soon. So here is the link http://gourley2004.blogspot.com/ to their family sight...

The wedding

The wedding turned out great!!!! The weather was beautiful, the food turned out great (yummy dutch oven) and the whole event was very nice... I took my camera but didn't get many good shots.. I think I will stick to portraits, this wedding business is hard. Everything I thought was gonna be cool came out kinda lame... The collage is hard to see all the pictures for how they REALLY look with heads cut off and such but it was a good learning experience.... I am no AB or LG or RW, but I would like to be some day.

Lot's happening

There has been a lot going on at our house.... Saturday was the IHH Fun Run/Walk... With about 300 people there in support I was floored. I am so grateful that we all have instant friendships because of our trials. I was so proud of all of our family who showed us support. We are so grateful that we have you, we won't forget and will try and pay it forward... Also today (Sunday) Our ward knows now so it is okay to post... Jeff got a special calling to be the second counselor in the bishopric... I am really proud of him. We have been feeling really good about it. I know he will be busy, but he has always made time for his family and I know that he will STILL make time for us, he just has another family to watch over now too. He is really fabulous at all that juggling... With that being said. I too will be much busier. I guess that is what happens when we grow up a little. The new Bishop is a fantastic guy.. I can say that because I happen to live next door to Kyle Hansen.. With Bob Jones as the First counselor they will be really great... These guys have a huge job ahead of them, organizing our new ward.. (Go Sunset Ridge 9Th) I am sad to not be able to see our friends every Sunday. It will be a hard adjustment for a little while. (MISS YOU)

Here are pictures from the race....

Ry Pre race-- I made badges for all of Gator's Gang that read "Love stretches your HEART, and makes you big inside" - "From my heart to His"

Gearing up for the mile, Doing a few stretches and Hugs...

Making the best plan of action... Don't want to hit the wall too soon!
The Grandma's and Ry..... GOing going going. I don't know if you can see the kid in the blue shorts... He was the first to cross the finish line in about 5 ish minutes... One mile in 5 ish minutes... He was hauling... I think his twin or brother was next... but this is him lapping the group. Wow!
