Wanted: More Hands!

Don't mind the half-baked mommy that the child is attached to. I am in the process of cleaning... With her in this homemade Moby wrap I can do the dishes, fold clothes and vacuum. Now, I need to figure out how to scrub toilets, shower surrounds and windows. I also look so awesome because I am going to have my friend Becky chop off my hair. It seems the baby does not like eating and sleeping with it. It takes a rather long time to do. Plus, I think I am ready for a change. It will grow back, and yes my hubby is okay with me going short. I wouldn't say it is his fave, good thing he loves me no matter what!
Almost couldn't get any better than this.
Also on my spruce up the drab women agenda: eyebrow and nose waxing and possibly a very nice pedicure.

Gator's first field trip!

Daddy went with Gator to his very first field trip to Gardner Village. He loves to ride in daddies truck. The lighting makes this little monster look angelic.
My mom took the kids to see the witches when we were recovering in the hospital. This is the witch that Gator decided to tell her... "Grandma, that witch has really big b**bs!" My mom was trying to tell him that he shouldn't say things like that. "but, she does have really big b**bs! Right Grandma?" my mom just decided to agree with him to get him to stop saying it in from of everyone... Ladies were laughing about that as the walked out of the bread store... Sorry ladies, he must take after his father. LOL!!!
I love this little man-ski

This is his buddy Jordy girl. They are salt and peppa all the way.

Home and doing

Burrito baby...
We are doing really well. Eden has already made a trip to the E.R. at five days old the little might was spitting up bright red blood. Hahaha! turns out the little aggressive sucker was getting it from the momma. It was a frightening thing to see and for parents who are on high alert from having a heart baby it made it kinda scary to see. She sleeps during the day and love love LOVES to sleep right next to momma's B***ies at night. Those gals keep her nice and cosy.

Ry and Gator adore her and always want to hold her. I thought maybe Gator would have a harder time. I planned on it. But, he has pleasantly surprised us.

She went to her two week check up and surpassed her birth weight. 8lbs 10oz. Dr. was a little concerned with her nice orange-ish complexion. So she had to have her Billi count taken again. Only a little elevated 15.5 with normal being 14 so no major concerns. The treatment consisted of giving her formula for a couple days until she could pass all the Billi. Now she is trending down nicely. Plus also, for a couple of minutes in the day she tans in the sunlight coming through the window. Her cheeks are so munchy.

What's in a name?

Do you know the story behind your name? How did your parents decide upon something that would be with you forever? Naming our children has always been so fun, yet something we really thought about. I love so many names, I like names that are not used very often, names that remind me of something or stir an emotion of some sort. I started looking at name books before we even told people that we were expecting again. For boys, I love names that have X in them. It is such a strong sound. I like that there are not many names with X, I like that it is an easy letter to write in the early preschool years. For girls, I want something that is feminine and that is (this sounds funny) Boutique-ish. Meaning if I went down to Gardner Village (love that place), there would be a shop down there that sold beautiful little things and my girls names would fit on one of those fancy signs.

Eden got her name after many lists had been made. It actually became her name after these three things happened. First, we have a wonderful friend, neighbor, and example of what we would love our little Eden to be someday. Miss Eden is a wonderful mother, extremely talented, crafty, kind and sweet women. We have a big responsibility to teach our little Eden to be like her. Second, there is a beautiful song that has this name in it's lyrics. I heard the song and loved the name. Third, it has been on our list since Ry. I am so happy we were actually able to use it.

Nichole is also special for a couple of reasons. I have an amazing cousin who shares this name. Also, in daddies last area before returning home from his mission, he was able to baptise a women who had a little daughter that he really bonded with.

And so..... There it is...

I asked my mom how they decided on my name... I loved her answer...
"I saw it on the credits to a Soap Opera and loved it."
Isn't that cool? I love that it wasn't the same run of the mill answer or from a baby book.
Yeah for you Mom and Dad!

Oh hello feet, I remember you!

I can't believe how fast and slow time flies. Fast because the baby is growing and changing every day and slow because I want my body to keep up with my fast paced lifestyle and it just isn't healing as fast as I would like. If I flip my thought process, I will never have this excuse to just sit and hold this little bundle and enjoy these moments; moments I never got with Gator man... It is amazing how much I have forgotten. It has been six years since we had a newborn baby at home and each child has been their very own, very unique addition to our family. Ry being a Chlomid-vag-first child, Gator was a Chlomid-vag-heart baby, and Eden is our freebie-C-section baby. Each baby has had their learning curves... I am just thrilled she is out of me. I have actually ventured to the bathroom scale only to be overjoyed that I don't weigh as much as an elephant anymore. Now, I just need to move down from Dairy Cow to pot belly pig and keep on moving down. Being in the Mary Mooo Cow stage isn't so bad cause I know I won't be here forever. I am able to wear my wedding ring again. I love that thing. I am also able to see my feet and they are looking soooo much better. Hurrah!

In the hospital they do these very beautiful/expensive pictures!
ENJOY!

Welcome Baby

I bet you know by the title that we have our precious daughter with us now... It went a little like this... Have Pitocin wait, have nothing happen, have more pit, wait, nothing happen, get an epidural from Dr. J who is totally funny... Get more Pit wait... Nothing happen. Never efface, never dilate and now the decision. We have three choices... Not easy choices. #1 go home(not really an option with an epidural) #2-turn off the pit and wait until morning(it was around four forty five pm) Maybe the new start would kick my body into gear. Also, there was still a risk of delivering a very large baby and having a very traumatic vag birth. Thus making the risk of recovery high. Then there was the risk of injuring the baby as she made her grand entrance. With positives... I would be released from the hospital as soon as twenty four hours after delivery and I would be able to manage my family. Also I hadn't planned on the big-C so I was really scared of it. Just thinking it would be so hard to recover from and manage my pain... You know selfish stuff. #3 was of course the C-section. Something that could be done soon, be safer for the baby and, and would be a longer recovery/hospital stay.... After much talk... We finally decided that we would go ahead with the C. Everything went really fast after that. The Dr. came in, then the anesthesiologist, then they dressed daddy in his special clothes and we went down.

About fifteen minutes later we had our baby girl. (I was also relieved that she was still a girl)

Whew!!!!! that was fast.

Welcome to this family little miss,

Eden Nichole - 8lbs 8oz- on 10-05-10

Sitting

Today is our big day. Six o'clock this morning I called to see if we could keep our induction time of 7:30 am. No room in the Inn. I had to call back on an hour-ish. Fast forward to after helping get kids up and breakfast and off to school. This time they could have me at 8:30. I was really glad because I worried that they wouldn't be able to get me in for a really long time. After arriving and daddy inquiring about the fathers lounge. (which doesn't exists, but would be really cool if it did.) I have been checked with little to no dilation. Everything is still pretty high up, and I am taking Pitocin to get things moving. We wait another ten minutes until it is turned up a little higher. K- now you have the play by play. If things start to happen we can post again.
