This is an ear tube

I thought this was interesting. Right before Gator went back with the dentist I noticed that he had something in his ear. I am a teeny tiny bit obsessive about goobers is the ears. It was Gator's ear tube. I didn't think I would see it. The picture is blurry because no matter how hard I tried I couldn't snag a good shot of this little thing.

The cavity

Gator had a cavity that I could physically see inside his mouth. I could tell it was bothering him because he would complain that it hurt while he was chewing. So we found this amazing dentist who could work on a heart kiddo and who was confident and really sweet with Gator. When we went to the consult visit with Dr. Brown he made us feel very comfortable that he would do everything he could to fix the tooth without putting Gator in stress. Then if things turned south, he would refer us to a pediatric dentist. So we set up the fix-it date and I headed home with instructions to order Gator's antibiotics. Since he is a heart baby, he has to pre-medicate before any dental procedure and cleaning. I ordered his meds at our fave pharmacy. Ok so here is the problem, they gave me three great big pills. I had no idea how my three year old was gonna swallow those. They told me to put them in something. Our favorite pharmacy is turning out to be a bust. On the day of our dental appointment I find my mortar and pestle and crush the pills. I put the powder into a syringe and then suck chocolate milk into the syringe. It wasn't crushed very fine and the chunks kept getting stuck. It was crappy. 45 minutes later we finally have all the pills into him. The girls go to play with Papa and we go off to see Dr. Brown. Gator went back by himself and came out just a few minutes later. He didn't even need me back there. He got a little nervous one time but they talked him through it and he got to pick two prizes from the amazing treasure box of wonder! This dental office knows how to do a treasure box right. So hurray we are fixed and happy again. Best Dentist EVER!

I did WHAAAT?

We had a very rough weekend. For some reason both the older kids needed reminding about behaving respectfully toward Mommy and Daddy. They also needed to be punished. After a punishment of being sent to his room Gator opened the door and asked if he could come out. He also promised that NOW HE WOULD BE A NICE BOY! I told him to stay there until I was ready to have him come out. He was so mad at me that he burst out of the door and yelled.

"YOU RUINED MY WHOLE LIFE"
Later we had a talk about forgiveness. Little children do it with ease. I wish it were the case always.

Sitting

Both toes in her jammies have holes. She likes it that way. I weighed myself and then weighed munchie, a whopping 18.3 lbs. Time to put away the 9 month clothes and start taking out the 12 month stuff...

Because she is big

These sisters are gonna be great buds.

Ry is always off on playdates or at school, so it is hard to snap pictures of her darling-ness. I finally snagged this one!

How it all begins

Make A Wish is one of the most Magical things I have ever experienced. It ranks right up there with Christmas. We received this in the mail yesterday!
What is it you ask?

A very Fancy Key!

This is the Key to the wishing room. Only Wish Kids (well.... and staff too!) have a key to the wishing room.

Gator has a very special night coming up this week. He gets to declare his wish. Which is still undecided at this point. We have two very wonderful Granters. Miss Natasha, who happens to be a dear friend and Mr. Dwain, who we haven't met yet but are so excited to meet. At this point we know his wish will have something to do with vehicles or things that GO! We are not sure if that is enough for them to go on. He also said he would like to see Lightning McQueen in real life. Also not sure? We are confident that his Granters will help him figure it all out.

Here is our girl in action.
