2025 was so hard, we are ready for a fresh start in 2026... BRING IT....
So lets recap...
Ryleigh- Ry finished serving her mission in April. We all (except Alex) were able to go and pick her up and tour her mission, then jaunt over to London as well. She worked for a short time at Copper Canyon and then went up to Oakcrest for a summer as a counselor and Medi (medical personnel). She loves the mountains and the participants. She made wonderful friends there. She was also very excited to go to BYU-I. She works for Twisted Sugar, is starting a nanny position, and is in the RS presidency. She stays extremely busy with homework and a social life. She has been such a trouper through two surgeries to remove some ganglion cysts. They have been giving her grief for a while now. Hopefully she is all better now.
Alex- In January we found out that the chemo hadn't been successful and his cancer had in fact grown much bigger. He started Home-and-hospital schooling, spent weeks long receiving chemo inpatient and trying to fight cancer. He was deemed in remission in May. He started back to work at Chick-fil-a but found that wasn't a fit for him anymore so got a job at Discount tire. This year has been busy with dances, work, a ski pass, senior year and is the president of Primary Childrens youth Council. He was even a speaker at the closing ceremony for Primary Promise 360, where Post Malone was there and signed his sneakers. He has some pretty famous people on those shoes. His health is currently great.
Eden- Eden made it to girls camp and FSY this summer. She is in 9th grade, and is an excellent student. Her french really came in handy when we were in France. She liked to listen to the people speak around her especially the little kids. She has a passion for nails, hair, and makeup. She is on Primary Childrens Youth council, she was the secretary last year but decided not to do a position this year. She also worked as a spook at The Crazy Corn Maze. She loves baby sitting and puppy sitting. She is a natural caretaker.
MayLee- May is in 7th grade and will be an official teenager in two weeks. But is an excellent student and works hard (and stresses) about her grades and making them all A's. She has been busy with her friends, swimming, paddle boarding, late overs, and hanging out. She was hospitalized for pneumonia in May, but is doing very well in health otherwise. She also loves hair and nails. Her long blonde hair is always done so beautifully. She was in the school production of Xanadu. She has loved this year being able to go to the temple. I hope to plan lots of little trips to the temple with this one. May went to her first year at girls camp and loved it.
Asher- Has been so busy with sports. Asher played on a comp league, rec-team, then All-stars team this summer. Most of our weekends were at the ballfields and we loved it. Then there was practice and conditioning. His bones were growing so fast his muscles weren't keeping up, so we were also in physical therapy. He doesn't love to read, but to encourage some reading, we did a book club over the summer. It was way more fun to get together with buddies and play more than talk about the book. He went to UVU baseball camp, and loved going to the lake to paddle board. Any other waking moment that isn't baseball related, is at the new wheels park by our house. He is fearless.
Milo- This doggo is so delightful. He is the best snuggle buddy and loves to go on walks. He still loves his nerf tennis ball gun. Freaks out when the doorbell rings because someone is most likely here for him. Or at best, will give him a scratch or two. But most of all, loves his people.
Brynn- I am hanging in there. I taught preschool last year and loved it, but I needed more hours and so after twenty years of being away started back at Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair design. I love working there and with the students. I also work in the most desired spot in the temple (the youth center) I get to hold babies, help them dress, and play toys. I also volunteered at Primary Childrens Hospital in the playroom. Little Levi, my nephew was born and buried this year. We wanted him with us, but are trying to not miss him too much. I loved traveling to France to pick up Ry from her mission. I had a lot of fun adventures this summer with the kids before work started. Most of those adventures involved one of their passions, like baseball or going to the lake. I also got a garden in this year and read TONS of books.
I can't wait for the new year, a fresh beginning. I am grateful I get those. The kids and I are grateful for the love that everyone has given. I am pretty sure I wouldn't be here today without the kindness of good friends, family, of course the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful especially for the knowledge of his plan. We have faith in his plan and in his timing. He will make things right when everything seems off kilter.
a very MERRY CHRISTMAS, and BRING ON the NEW YEAR...
With Love,
Brynn, Ryleigh, Alex, Eden, MayLee, Asher, And Milo.
