Corn.... Hummm..

I had to get permission from Ry to write this post. It has taken me this long to procure that permission.

The day after Thanksgiving Ry came out of the restroom and said,

" I am not so good at corn mom!"

"Ok, why is that Ry?" I asked her.

"Cause it all just came out whole!"

I couldn't stop laughing to tell her that is normal.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Grandma and Grandpa Groesbeck down in Richfield. It was quite the experiance to take Munch down cause if you'd recall she isn't the best passenger. She was happy about 75% of the way. The other 25% was enough to give us all a head ache. We loved visiting with family and of course enjoyed the bowling after. Ry did better than both daddy and I even though we had bumpers.

Gram and papa watching the Munch!

Check out that form!

I tried to make off track fun. To save us while we are inside because it is too cold to go out. We went to Jump and Bounce.

It was pretty fun.

Explain something to me...

Please explain how one little person adds so much additional laundry, I can't keep up. The piles are huge! Wouldn't you agree that in the winter laundry is harder for some reason. Is it because the clothing is bulky and thicker? Is it because you layer more? Or is it as simple as the dryer isn't as efficient because it has to heat the air? I just have no idea. I know, I know, I have said before that I don't really care for laundry but... Sheeeeeesh!

Also, please explain why it is that my little guy needs my attention while I am using the restroom. I don't need an audience even though Munchie is in there with me. (I promise it is for her safety.) I also don't need the questions or comments that arise from that little guy.

-"Mom are you going potty?"
-"Mom what kind of potty ya going?"
-"Mom ya poop'in?"
-"Sheesh mommy you smell bad?"
-"Mom you gonna use all that paper?"
-"Can I see mom?" (always..... No, Get the heck outa here now!)
-"Good job mommy?"
-"Your tummies a little chubby chub, aren't cha mommy?"
-"Mom, you done yet I gotta go potty too!"

Then if someone could just clarify one thing for me, Remember how we used to love to get out and do a few things that are fun... Why is it that when I strap the baby into her car seat she begins to scream. Actually all I have to do is place her in there like she is going to be strapped in and she begins to scream... I just don't get it...

Mommy of three is a little challenging for me... I think it is a learning curve but so far my game has been a little......lacking.... I promise to step it up.... Loving it all but not winning the game even close right now.

You better watch out, you better not cry!

Two crazy kids and one more to soon follow. (I bet)

So Ry is off track and we have been trying to do some awesome off track things. One of which is having friends over to play. I am happy to have her play instead of plant herself in front of the TV. So we invited Ellie over to play. The first thing Ry comes up with while I was attempting to mop the floor with the baby strapped to me, is washing their stuffed animals in the bathtub with real water and soap... It made for a very wet moment. You could hear poor Ellie say "I don't feel good about this Ry!" The perfect comment to get me right into the bathroom to investigate. I took the stuffed animals and spun out the water and dried them in the dryer. Ellie's little doggy didn't like the dryer...

Then the girls asked from then on out.

-Can we play store?

-Can we use some grocery sacks?

-Can we play in the storage room?

-Where is the tape?

-Can I have an enevalope?

The next question took a little more thought from me.

"Mom can we borrow two of your bras?"

My who's-it..... what? Why do you need to borrow those? Ry said they wanted to be like real moms. I explained that "They were just two little girls and those things were not going to fit them at all." I told her "Plus also, I needed them on account that I am a real mom." Ry said not the fold down ones (nursing bra) the other kind. I told them I wasn't sure where they were. They decided to forgo the bra idea and just use Gator's balls up their shirts. They tried on more of my clothing and those intimate enough to know me I will tell you the entire story. I wish I would have gotten a few pictures to tease her with when she was older and totally use in her senior yearbook or wedding video.

Then...

Later that night I was trying to get my kids to eat their dinners. Usually Ry is a good eater but lately she has been as bad as Gator. I got this idea to start telling them that Santa/elves are watching them and around this time are really cracking down and would put them on the naughty list if they...... I proceeded to tell Gator how the Elves were watching now and the would report to Santa. I did the big eyes to look around and said "shhhh- listen, I think I hear them". The kids went totally silent.. I even told them there is a song about it all.

You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout I'm telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town.

He's making a list and checking it twice, He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice. Santa Claus is coming to town.

He sees you while your sleeping, he knows when your awake he knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake!

(that is an extremely creepy song if you think about it)

I pause now for dramatic effect. Gator watches me and doesnt take his eyes of me until the song is complete. Then he sits back totally stunned at that news. I could practically see the wheels turning in his head, he was thinking this over. After a little bit he says to me....

"Can he see me when I am NAKED?, I am not sure I like that guy!"

What a doozy-

I told him he just knows, so you better eat your dinner. Ry finishes and is so relieved that her beloved PENBO is safe tonight... (my kids get ONE present from Santa) Gator is Choking/gagging down the last of his dinner the now cold sweet potatoe but he is making good time and eating better than I have ever seen. When he is done he says. "Now that guys gotta get me a Christmas, right mom?"

Keep this up and he will son, he will.

And last but not least. Here is our little girlie.. Pre-Gator smoochies

Here she is after her brother "LOVED" on her...

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!
We went with an insect theme this year. What will happen when my kids won't let me theme them????

Lady Bug

Spider Guy

Bringing home a Baby Bumble Bee!!!!!

My whole little gang...

Gator ended up with an upset stomach and the frups. He didn't go trick-or-treating, instead he handed out the candy to all the treaters that came to our house. Next year he will be on top of his candy gathering game. As much as I am sure that E wanted to go out in the rain and cold I told her she needed to be a little older and possibly be able to eat candy. Next year for her too! I have already had Gator request to be a race car "driber" next year for Halloween. Because Ry was cute this year she wants to be scary next year. So maybe we will go with a what you want to be when you grow up theme and Ry can be the zombie/dead version of that. I can see the giant pair of hair scissors with blood on them now...
