TROUBLE!!!

Julie is one of our favorite people.. She always has such encouraging things to say and helpful ways to help get Gator to "catch up".. The crazy thing is Ry loves her sooo much too... Julie thinks about both of my kids in her visits and knows that Ry will vie for her attention. She packs special toys for Ry.. We all need our own Julie's and Suzanne (our other therapists in our lives...) I wish I could clone these women and hand them out to people who need these kinds of services... They did extra research to help Gator better and to be able to recognize signs of fatigue in a single vent kid... They have both been amazing...
Anyway.. back to today... Julie came for her visit and was very impressed with Gator; to say the least... She threw out everything we WERE going to work on because he has already surpassed those things... Way to go DUDE! So she said that we could start the process of walking... One of the many ways to do that, is to get him a walker toy... well we just had it out of the box and gator was in 7th heaven... He picked it up so fast... He gets a little frustrated when he gets stuck in a corner... We are in trouble, he is going to be running in no time.... Any suggestions on keeping him busy and happy this winter? Maybe lots of playing at bounce houses and wrestling with dad.... We also visited the Dr. today... With so many poopies I get on high alert... I don't even take my chances and have him checked out.. it seems like it is just some little bug... He is still only twenty pounds and hasn't gained in a while... it has me only slightly worried because he must burn off everything with how fast the boy crawls.... Anyway... this is way too long a post for me... Enjoy the walking footage...

The good life

My sisters came to stay with my us for a couple of days so they could tend..THANKS.... they did some pretty fun things with the kids... like painting... This is the paint set ry earned with her marbles this go around. Very exciting.. Gator decided he wanted to paint and to taste it... good thing it was non-toxic.
We just got back from the Annual Groesbeck family reunion... It was super fun.. I only got my camera out once, too much fun with cousins + one nap time from Gator = no more pictures...
Ry picked out her entire outfit today.. do you love the socks? Those were my favorite part. They are really ladies socks, but she loves them.
A better view of just the socks...
Ry has been so funny lately.. so here are a few of the funny things she says...

Ry-Mom can I watch my own movie? (meaning and children's program)

Mom can i have some pine-a-papple? (pineapple)

Ry-Daddy do you have to go to work today?
Dad- nope i get to stay home with you all day?
Ry- WOHOO, Oh I am so sighted!!!!

mom-Ry it's time to get up... (it's 10:30 am)
Ry- Nooooo i am still so sleepy

Ry is stealing Gators food or treat of any kind....and says..."He wanted to share with me!"

Angel Max

I just wanted to tell Max how often we think about you! You where our first experience with HLHS and your family has been so amazing in sharing your journey with us .. He is forever our little heart Friend and we know he spent many moments by our Alex's side as he underwent his surgeries and procedures... Max's 4th (sorry if that is wrong) angel anniversary was yesterday. We know how many lives he touched for the good and still continues to do so... Thanks Kathy and Rob for sharing him with our family. I wonder sometimes why things turned out the way they did... But I do know that our "hearts" are forever touched by your sweet boy!

weather warning

We had a little severe weather... This is a picture of the water gathering on the gravel and on the patio.
This is a picture on the neighbors tramp. It decided that it wanted to visit... It made it through one section of fencing by squeezing ... It also took out all our patio furniture. No persons where harmed...Whew!
This is what was under the tramp....

I have a whole stack of registration forms and would love to get one to you if you would like.... I am so excited and can't wait to see you there..

No Training wheels, picnics, and Wrangler Butts drive me nuts!!!

Ry has almost got this bike riding with no training wheels thing... She saw Hunter do it and decided she would give it a shot... She only trusts daddy to help her. I think it is a big accomplishment for a three year old... Way to go Ry-Ry we are so proud of you. The Florida Homers are in town and we have been having a blast... Today we headed up Mill Creek (pronounced CRICK today) for a picnic... Almost every child sustained an injury...(seems about right) Don't you love Gator's Wranglers...One of the neighbors passed them to him and we HAD to wear them in the mountains today. Man those things are durable.. I tried on Ry's old crap kickers (boots) but they didn't fit. This kid has the tiniest feet. We will have to find him some... I want to get a new pair for Ry anyway... So I am on the hunt for Boots size baby 2 for Gator and size 11 for Ry and if you see a stellar deal size 12 for my big boy, Jeff... (if everyone else is getting some I want some too!!!)

Two little Fuddy duddy's

Alex pretty much thinks he's the bomb... He crawls all over the place and gets STUCK!!!! His new favorite trick is to throw food onto the floor and then see is he has leftovers for later...he gets stuck under the table and can't figure out how to get out...

Ry-ster strikes again...

Yesterday at church there were not enough teachers for Ry's primary class... I volunteered to help another sister in Ry's class... We started out doing great, teaching about "service" . Kind of a big word for three year olds... So we asked them if they knew what helping was... Sure enough they did... Then we explained that service is when we help someone without them asking us, or when they don't even know we are helping them... Anyway.... Sister J asked the kids what they would do if their mommies where sick, how could they help her... some classic answers....

K- I would help my mommy get a glass of water and give her the remote....
A- I would find my mommy a snack
J- I would help her with my sister...

And Ry's response." when my mommy isn't feeling good she just takes some pills, it's cause she has blood!!"

I am totally embarrassed... O-well that's what I get for being a girl and a mom of a three year old...

Happy 4th

Alex chill'en, eating Fruit Loops, and waiting for the parade to start...
This time last year he was just out of the hospital and still on O2's which made it a fun but hard parade because I was worried someone might blow up my kid while they were smoking or lighting off fireworks close by..Lucky for us that didn't happen. This year he really loved it but mostly the horses and the balloons and all the fun candy that some how kept getting thrown to him...
We had donuts and drinks and Ry was sampling something Delicious....

I think July is one of our favorite months... Tons of BBQ's, parades.. The Derby.. Family reunions...
I love my Jeff... He likes parades too.. He makes it so fun. It is almost funner (not a word until now) to watch him, than to watch the actual parade.. He got three shirts this year.. None that actually fit him... He also got a whole bag of taffy for Ry from the Rodeo Clown.. LOL.... This isn't his best picture cause he is eating the for said taffy... He and Gator also got new haircuts on the 4th Eve... Isn't this the best time of year... I don't have a single pic of myself cause I was behind the camera... But just imagine me in the same shirt as Jeff, and a fro..

Eat your veggies

I really don't have much time to sit down to the computer lately. I have busy with Ryleigh, Alex and Jeff, and all the things that keep them healthy and happy.. But this garden has taken a lot of my spare time.. You know it seems to still need me... I am sure the weeds are growing at an unbelievable rate as I sit here and type. I am happy to learn more about it and it has finally begun giving back... My inbox for my email is at 203 unread messages and my google reader has so many new posts that I feel overwhelmed... I hope your having a great summer... We are!
Yummy!!!
Corn on the cob.. and if you look hard you can see the maze just barely starting to grow.
Radishes that are almost done.. I need to plant another row...
