This bear was stuffed for Alex and hugged by grandma Jones. She said it had a wrinkly face like her so she wanted Alex to have it. Ahhhh it is so cute.
Then last week we took half of the bears to transplant clinic with us. We gave them to Jaimee to be in charge of. I wanted all the newly prediagnosed families to have a bear for their new heart babies. It is horrific news to hear about your unborn baby. It is hard and scary and I want them to know that a 7 year old boy has meant the world to this family... But not only that, he has meant the world to his extended family and his friends and people he doesn't even know. That when the choice is given to them to terminate... I can say... I would do all the hard things a million times over to enjoy this sweet boy even one minute.
We kept the other half of the bears because we want to take them with us to visit our new heart baby families. We have talked with a couple of newly prediagnosed families. My heart aches for them. When their little people make their grand entrance into this world I want to visit with a hug and now a bear.
We are so grateful to Beehive Homes... Victor and Valerie both Rock!!! We love the honey bears... #beehivehoneybears
