Look at these babies!!! I can't even stand how fast they are all growing up. Our sweet friends the England's came from Florida for a visit. We had so much fun catching up with them.
Gator has finished with his first Brotisamib round. There were four treatments in the first round. We hope to get results on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I took all four with us for his last treatment. Eden got herself a pair of scrubs when she had a little accident in the car on the way up. Ry went up to the playroom and got craft supplies and paint. While their projects dried we watched movies, ate treats and enjoyed being together.
The girlies headed off to the Groesbeck family reunion, Jeff went on trek, gator and May and myself stayed close to home. Because everyone was off having a fabulous 24th of July, Gator and I decided to do something 'totally wicked'! Gator has been sort of obsessively watching RC YouTube videos. So we thought it would be rad to make our own RC track and get a huge truck to drive.
First things first... We needed to come up with a plan. We layed on the grass and drew out our idea. We checked out Pinterest for instructions and plans.
This hot mess is what you get when mommy and Gator are busy digging, smoothing, and working.
The RC we bought is pretty lame. We took the first one back because it had charging issues. Now we need to take the second one back for the exact same reason. What a disappointment. All the elements of it are cool, big jeep, blue, easy to drive.. Just won't stay charged.
We got LoLo out for a little but she is tricky and easily gets lost. So I got smart and tied some red tule around her.
She is way faster than the average tortoise.
Bedraggled might be her new look... Sheesh, who is this child's mother? She was sneaky and pulled off her oxygen. Stickers and all!!!
Sneaky number two without oxygen... Also looking rather bedraggled.
It's been years since I straightened my hair. On a whim, I did it before the girls and Jeff got home. It took way too long. What a waste of time... Except I left it straight for lots of days, so it evened out in the end. I can just think of a million other things I could have done. Oh well...
First day of school! First day of school. Name that movie? Give up??? Finding Nemo.
Second grade
Fourth grade
I have always been a glass half full kind of gal. I have to admit that I wasn't sure that Gator would make it to second grade! I am thrilled to say that even if I am not a teacher, we have yet again adapted to our circumstance and we are making the very best of this situation. Alex went to school for one hour his first day. He was very upset when I said it was time to leave. When we made it home he realized how tiring it was and put himself down for a nap. Each day we work on a few things. Some days are better than others. The little girls love school. I have workbooks and flash cards for Eden and coloring pages for MayLee. I need to invest in some play dough, both girls like that stuff. I hate it. I am pretty sure it was not invented by a mother with carpet in her home. Or any nice furniture of any kind... In fact I am almost sure it was put on this earth to torment mothers. Yet kids love the stuff. It isn't quite as horrible as silly putty.

I can't believe how big they are getting. Looks like Gator lost his two front teeth. Yes, please tell me that I am not the only one who goes through the list of names for my kids. Hazard of having 5!
I have some recipes for home made play dough that are scented I have found, your kids might enjoy those. Let me know if you would like the recipes.
Brynn,
Play dough is FABULOUS... if you take it outside and set up a special table! Any mess gets left in the grass! :)
