He's the (little) Man

Alex is off the vent he finally got strong enough. I am so excited. He is really doing much better and I think this is a step in the right direction. The portagen seems to be doing the trick because his fluids are clear instead of creamy yellow. He still has to be on it for a long time but, at least we know there is not any more building up. I knew the Mathis's would understand the chyle thing. Thanks Andrea. He actually drained out 207 ml total. I bet he feels better with that out of his system. He is breathing well, and his sats look better than when he was on the vent. Ry is doing really well. She played at the Mahony's yesterday. She loves it over there and bawled when I tried to pick her up the first time. She seems to be over the whole raisin deal, but this is her second offense, the first time she stuck a peanut up there. I guess she takes after her mother.

YEA ALEX!!!! Way to go getting off the vent! SO glad to hear that things are getting better. Baby steps, thats what we look for. I am glad to hear that Ry is doing well also. We can completly relate to the effect this has on the other siblings. You and Jeff are so awsome and we feel so lucky to know you guys. Keep you chin up and remember to smile.

Congratulations Alex! You did it! What a great Mother's Day present to see Alex improving so much. I bet you even get to hold him today. Oh give him a kiss for us and have a wonderful day! We are so happy he is off the vent and doing so well. That is great news. We also look forward to playing with Ryleigh. Audrey was sure that Grandma Paulene would bring her back last Wednesday, so she'll be excited to see her friend return. Thanks for sharing her with us and good luck to Alex this week. We are all cheering you on. Love your fans: Kathy, Rob, Audrey, Max, and Sophie (And little Harvey coming soon)

Hi Jeff. Happy Mother's Day to you Brynn. Raisin's, peanuts, cheerios or lemonheads (Daniel) they are all the same. It is always such a treat to hear news about Alex. Grandpa Homer showed me a picture of Alex today at church, soooooo cute!! Even the little things are milestones. Your family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers. Hope you all have a great week.
