You want me to do what?????
Yesterday Jeff and I had a huge day...We had a presentation to give for our friends who are out of town.... (scary) and then we went to my folks house to install the drawer and door fronts in their newly remodeled bathroom.. It looks really great... Then we went back to the hospital to see Alex, Ry and Grandma Homer... Ry got her favorite thing..A slushy....Then (da..da....da.....) I had to learn and give my first ever injection... I am a jabber and I practiced at least 10 times...Jeff looked like a champ making the needle slide into the little football we practiced on. I did it though, I think it won't be so bad this next go around... They said I could practice on myself a couple of times to see what it feels like.. I might try that a little later... That way I will know best, how to give it to him...This morning Jeff gave his first injection... It is pretty sad to have your little one look at you like, WHY are you doing this to me.... But we know it will only make him better....We also went to church... We loved it.... Thanks again for all that you do....Brynn

I can't imagine the courage it takes to give your little one a shot. I would be crying the whole time. . .but when it's so needed maybe that helps make it okay.
Hang in there guys!
Hugs,
Carolyn
Oh...I’m sorry that you have to do that even if it is to help him. I think you guys should now full qualify for an honorary nursing degree.
Thanks for keeping us all updated,
Nathan
Bless Alex's beautiful and precious little heart! Shots suck no matter who is giving them and who is receiving them.
But I am glad that this means yall are one step closer to being home as a family again.
We love yall!

I have had to give Rhett shots before and it was the worst. That look with those big alligator tears.....So sad!!
We are still heading up there tomorrow, we should be stopping by sometime after 2 pm. I have my sister coming with me just in case Rhett can't come in or anything. He is not sick that we know of, but I always worry about bringing him around other heart kids, espically babies. I would hate if Alex got sick and for some reason we were the culprit!!
I am crazy that way!
((Hugs!!))

Brynn and Jeff!
You two are so tough! I couldn't do it! I am such a sissy! Way to be tough guys! I am so happy things are going well!
We have to give Cohen shots every night to bring up his white blood cell count. It is sad especially when they know it's coming. Since Cohen can talk he always cries and says all done. It's so sweet. Make sure you pull back the skin when you give it to him. Less bruising.

I think that if anyone can doit you can! You are so good. He will understand. I hope you are all doing good. LYL
I give myself injections all the time, it is not a big deal once you get used to it. it is sad to give to babies, when you can't explain why, but Alex is a fighter, it will not be a big deal, nothing like an IV or heart surgery.... right!! keep up the great work! Lots of luv!
